i’m beginning a body weight training program for about 6 months. I’m gonna be doing pull ups, push ups, bridges, and various abdominal exercises. Is there anything I can do for my legs besides just a squat? In all the the body weight books and programs I only ever see squats, won’t this make me unbalanced?
I do have a 30lb kettlebell that I’m tempted to incorporate.

I’m 5′2 175lb female. I am trying to lose at least 20-25 lbs by Christmas, but all together i want to lose 50lbs. If I walk three days a wk and do kettlebell exercises 2-3 times a wk. Will that work? I usually eat Fiber plus cereal for breakfast, Weight Watchers Smart One’s for lunch, and whatever we have for dinner i try to portion it. For snacks I eat yogurt, a fiber bar, kashi bar, or fruit. I cut out all soft drinks and only drink water. will I lose the weight?

I’m new to the kettlebell revolution, but ive been getting the hang of it, and love it! the exercise i like the most is the swing. i read that it is a great source of cardio. i was wondering a few things: is it ok to do every day? and how long should i make a set of swings (time wise) to make it a worthy cardio exercise? I’m an 18 year old male if that affects it at all. thanks!

I purchased one 35 lb kettlebell a few days ago and have been doing squats, sumo squats, 2 and 1 handed swings, and rows (back); about 3 sets of 15-20 reps. Is this enough or should i do more reps? What about rest time? I’m comfortable using free weights, but the kettlebell feels odd especially when i attempt a clean or any exercise where the bell sits on forearm; I have a bruise on forearm. I believe the problem is that the bone shape of my forearm curves a bit due to a broken arm when i was younger, so when i do a clean, the bell is not flat against my forearm (hits the slightly curved part of bone). Is there any solution or does it sound like i’m doing the exercise wrong? Also, is the book enter the kettlebell worth getting? And where can i find a good starting routine?

I was doing the Steve Maxwell 300 Kettlebell workout (Exercise 6; one arm Swing High Pull) and I think I might have twisted my back slightly at the top of the move. At this point I felt a sudden, sharp pain strip across my middle back (just below the shoulder blades). I stopped training straight away. If I twist to either side now for any reason I can feel pain in this area. Any ideas on what I might have done?..pulled a muscle, or strained a muscle? What is the best way to recover?
Any help or advice is greatly appreciated!

I recently bought a kettlebell to exercise with and my mam said that she would love to use it to. The problem is that my mam has been in 2 cars accidents and as a result she was only 50% movement in her hip( she cant even bend down to put her shoe on this foot) She cant use any of the exercise equipment in gyms, go swimming or walk great lengths. Is there any exercise anyone can recommend that will help her keep toned without putting pressure on her hip.
She had been to loads of them but they made no difference to her. she was only in worse pain

I took up kettlebell lifting about a year ago and I really enjoy it.

Before I took up the sport I had been receiving treatment for a problem with facet joints in my lower back which was deemed successful.

One of the lifts in kettlebell sport is called a jerk.
While I can maintain strength in my legs and arms while doing this technique, my back is always the first to give up.
Without proper stamina in my back I can never compete!

Anyone got any tips or hints?
Especially if you do kettlebell sport I would appreciate your comments.

Hi! I am looking to focus on golf and am hoping I could get a few suggestions on what kind of workout to do to get stronger for golf (like cardio, stretching, weight lifting). I have 16 kg kettlebells and then 8 kg kettlebells, some rope thing that’s hard to do (you hook it through a kettlebell and wave it up and down or side to side so it oscillates), a treadmill, a rowing machine, an elliptical, stability balls, and some weights to use. Thanks for your help!
